September 2 – Knife Skills + Safety
Have you ever wondered how the chefs on TV can chop veggies and fruits at a rapid speed without cutting off their fingers? In this knife skills class you will be taught all about a cook’s most important tool. How and where to purchase a quality knife, how to care for it, and how to properly use it to make cooking easier and more enjoyable. To practice your skills we will make a ratatouille with local garden vegetables and a fresh fruit salad with a basil syrup.

September 16 – Fl!p Your K!tchen
Fall is a great time to get your kitchen organized so that you can cook healthy meals every day from scratch. We will talk about stocking your pantry and planning your weekly menu so that you can create 21 home cooked mealsa week from scratch – and NO, THIS IS NOT A MAGIC TRICK! It really can be done. We will also make two basic sauces and send you home with the recipes so that you can re-create them for your loved ones.
